*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Supervise children during playtime and snacktime
* Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating childcare room
* Plan activities that foster the literacy and language development of children
* Follow Literacy Green Bay policies regarding toileting, discipline, and emergencies
* Assist with maintaining attendance logs and records
* Communicate concerns to supervisor and parents
*REQUIREMENTS:*
* Previous experience in childcare or Early Childhood Education
* Reliability and punctuality
* Ability to create and maintain a structured environment
* Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
* Familiarity with behavior management techniques
* Ability to work with culturally diverse populations; Spanish language ability helpful
Literacy Green Bay is an adult education center that has on-site, drop-in childcare rooms for the children of our adult students while they learn English.
The children are between 1 and 10 years old, and parents are on site in our classrooms.
Primary activites include keeping children safe and happy, playing with children, reading stories, organizing craft activities, and distributing snacks.
This is a great opportunity to work with children and become part of a non-profit community-based organization.
