T*he Baird Creek Preservation Foundation (BCPF) seeks one paid seasonal intern (approximately 30 hours per week for 7-9 weeks), starting May 2024 through early August, to assist education staff in running summer camps in the Baird Creek Greenway.
Set camp hours will be Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.
m.
to 4:00 p.
m with a lunch break.
There will be the possibility of helping with school field trips scheduled for May.
Please note that this is a paid summer hire/internship.
Salary is $14.
00 per hour.

*Specific Education Intern (Camp Leader) Tasks can include:*
* *Work together to prepare, lead, and coordinate daily camp activities, which may include arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, enrichment activities, service-learning opportunities, etc.

* *Follow lesson plans.

* *Guide appropriate camper behavior and hands-on outdoor education*
* *Ensure the safety of all participants*
* *Relationship building skills with school-aged children (K-6th grade) and their families*
* *Working in collaborative with the Education Coordinator*
* *Following directives from the Education Coordinator*
* *Cleanup of facility at end of day*
Successful candidates will be outgoing, adaptable, creative, have a willingness to be outdoors, and have reliable transportation.
Must be able to hike 2+ miles per day through uneven terrain.
