*Part Time Summer Teacher*

Youth Enrichment League partners with local communities to offer children, primarily in grades K-5, a variety of extra curricular opportunities.
For the summer of 2023, we have summer teaching positions available in:
* ♜ Chess - Students are taught chess basics and intermediate lessons.
Teacher Candidates should have at least a basic understanding of chess.
* Coding - Students are introduced to valuable coding concepts while creating their own video games and stories.
* Robotics - Students are given insight into the fundamentals of Robotics utilizing very straightforward programming and Legos!
* Lego Engineering - Students study beginner engineering concepts (Levers, Weight, Gears, and more!) and get to play around and change the variables.
Teacher Candidates should be comfortable working with computers.
Basic coding experience is beneficial, but not required.
Robotics has the same expectations.
Youth Enrichment League provides all teachers with:
* ✅ Supplies - You will have all the supplies you need to conduct the classes you are assigned.
* ✅ Lesson Plans - Every Youth Enrichment League has guided and scripted lesson plans so teachers don't have to come up with any lesson on their own.
* ✅ Training - Youth Enrichment League trains all teachers on how to conduct a class, manage their students, and adhere to the lesson plans as written.
* ✅ Schedules - Youth Enrichment League summer classes take place Mondays thru Thursdays, mostly 9am-noon, but some afternoon classes are scheduled as well.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPECTATIONS:
* Experience working with children is preferred.
Experience examples include: youth summer camps, youth coaching, Sunday School instruction, baby sitting, having children of your own, etc.
* Availability during weekday 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.
* A reliable vehicle.
* A valid Drivers License and ability to transport and store supplies needed to teach class.
