WORKING TITLE: Admissions Counselor UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator II POSTING DATE: February 22, 2024 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position reports to the Assistant Director for Recruitment and plans, develops, coordinates, manages, and executes the recruitment and admissions process in alignment with the institution's strategic goals.
Represents the institution to prospective students with a goal of attracting, admitting, and enrolling a talented, diverse student body.
May supervise staff and/or lead a program area.
This position includes the following responsibilities: Recruit and counsel prospective students by providing timely and accurate information about degree options, admission procedures, general education requirements, supporting and major course requirements for available programs of study, and rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the institution.
Use CRM to effectively recruit students.
Counsel prospective and admitted students on educational planning and career opportunities.
Review, evaluate, and respond to student applications according to established policies and procedures.
Identify opportunities for and develop admissions and outreach events.
Schedule logistics and secure resources for events to promote the Institution.
Evaluate program effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement.
Create targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals.
Deliver directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences.
Identify, promote, and maintain internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission.
Engage in extensive outreach and recruitment events, representing the university to prospective students.
QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of desktop hardware and standard business software programs (e.
g.
word processing, spreadsheets, database) and the Internet PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in counseling, student personnel, higher education or related field Proficiency in speaking and reading in a second language, preferably Spanish, Hmong Somali or Oneida Experience with software systems such as PeopleSoft, Salesforce, Image Now that support Admissions processes The successful candidate will be expected to work inclusively and respectfully within a diverse campus community and practice civility in the workplace.

SPECIAL NOTES: Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment.
Standard hours for this appointment are 7:45 a.
m.
to 4:30 p.
m.
, Monday through Friday.
A combination of daytime, evening, and weekend advising hours will be required to meet the needs of the position.
This position may have the option to work on-campus or a hybrid schedule subject to approved telecommuting request.
This position will require travel to high schools in Manitowoc, Sheboygan and Ozaukee counties, college fairs and other organizations as necessary.
Travel to Green Bay campus and additional locations of Manitowoc and Sheboygan; will need reliable transportation to assist in recruitment efforts.
A combination of daytime, evening, and weekend advising hours will be required to meet the needs of the position.
Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s).
A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: SALARY INFORMATION Salary range of $42,000 to $44,000.
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%.
This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually.
