Our preschool incorporates fun and exciting nature inspired, organic learning environments, Montessori & Reggio-inspired curriculum, healthy organic and fresh food, and an eco-friendly toxic free environment.
Every aspect of New Leaf Preschool was meticulously planned with the child?s best interests in mind! We focus on collaborating with parents so that our professional teachers can cater to each child?s individual needs and help them grow and expand mentally, emotionally, and socially at their own pace.
New Leaf Preschool?s curriculum is based on a combination of highly researched philosophies including Montessori & Reggio, in addition to the whole child approach to education.
The whole child approach focuses not only on each child?s academic skills such as math and literacy skills, but also the social, emotional and cognitive skills necessary to prepare them for a lifetime of success.
Sensory-based and self-directed learning through nature exploration is a major component of our program.
Our classrooms, indoor and out, act as a second teacher with carefully chosen developmentally appropriate works and self-correcting materials which are organized to support maximum growth and exploration through open ended organic play.
In addition these works and self-correcting materials accommodate the developmental needs of each individual student within the classroom.

Duties
We are searching for Passionate Early Childhood Educators to join us on this revolutionary and exciting journey! Teachers are responsible for the following:
Instructional Responsibilities:
Planing instructional activities that allow for child directed learning
Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment that enables independence and freedom of choice
Providing education to children through Montessori work presentations
Providing education through nature-inspired activities
Encouraging and challenge student development in all areas: academically, physically, emotionally, and socially
Supporting and encouraging students in a calm and respectful manner
Acting as a good role model in attitude, speech, and actions
Forming positive partnerships with student?s parents to create a bridge between home and school
Leading Parent/Teacher conferences
Being Prepared
Completing Progress reporting through frequent observations
Progress tracking student growth and tailoring lessons to meet students developmental needs
Professional Responsibilities:
Cooperates with administration in fulfilling professional responsibilities.
Attend all teacher in-services, team meetings, open houses, student concerts, and conferences.
Continues professional development growth and complete required Montessori or other teacher trainings.
Reads and agrees to follow the policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook
Requirements
Experience in Early Childhood Education or Childcare
An associates degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelors degree in a related field (preferred)
Experience teaching through the Montessori Method (Preferred)
