ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Athletics department is seeking an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach.
Reporting to the Head Men's Soccer Coach, this position assists the head coach with all aspects of running a successful Division I Men's Soccer program.
In the role, the selected candidate will maintain effective interpersonal relationships with administration, faculty, staff and student-athletes.
Comply with all NCAA, Horizon League, UW System and UW-Green Bay rules and regulations.
An expectation of this position is displaying professional sportsmanlike conduct during athletic events.
This position includes the following responsibilities: Assist in the recruitment of student-athletes through observation of ability and talent in accordance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA, Horizon League, and UW-Green Bay.
Provide technical expertise and utilize sound coaching methods aimed to improving the athletic performance of student-athletes.
Assist with the monitoring of student-athlete academics.
Assist with planning and supervision of in-season and out of season practice sessions; team and individual practices.
Assist with scouting of opponents and creation of a game plan for each game.
Organize and schedule team functions/team calendar.
Oversee and recruit managers, support staff, and practice players.
Assist with team travel.
Assist in fund-raising for the Men's Soccer team and Athletics department; attend fundraising events as requested by Head Coach and Director of Athletics.
Participate in marketing and promotion activities to generate fan support.
Participate in promotional and public relations events deemed necessary by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree at time of application Working knowledge of NCAA and Horizon League rules and regulations Able to work cooperatively with others and take direction from supervisor and Director of Athletics and/or his or her designee PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Coaching and/or playing experience at the intercollegiate level in soccer PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time Able to demonstrate techniques in sport when necessary May be asked to participate in practice drills The successful candidate will be expected to work inclusively and respectfully within a diverse campus community and practice civility in the workplace.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
