*Position: *
We are looking for a kind and compassionate *Medication Aide / Resident Assistant *that strives to enrich the lives of our Alzheimer and Dementia senior residents.
Having a Medication Administration Certificate is preferred, but not required - WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON!
*Extra Special Touch:*
This position requires lots of love and patience with the residents as they struggle with their cognitive and physical needs.
You need to have a gentle hand, speak words of kindness, give lots of hugs, and have lots of compassion.
We want staff that will treat our residents as if they were their own family.
*Job Description:*
* Accurate administration and documentation of medication (we pay for state training)
* Accurately communicate and document any resident issues or concerns
* Promptly answer call lights
* Assist with daily cares (toileting, showering, dressing, grooming, room tidies, etc)
* Perform basic wound care (as needed)
* Monitor residents vital signs
* Assist residents with transfers
* Assisting residents to and from meals and activities
* Assist serving beverages and meals
* Assist clearing and setting dining room tables
*Job Qualifications Include:*
* Must have, or acquire, a Medication Administration Certificate
* Must be able to work independently AND as a part of a team
* Must communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and providers
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language
* Must have a valid State of WI driver's license
* Must be dependable and able to work your shift as scheduled
* Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand on feet for 8 hours
*PRN On-Call Shift: * 6am - 2pm
* Work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) *OR* every Saturday *OR* every Sunday
* Can also pick up any available shifts
*Wage: *$20 per hour
