*SUMMARY:* Seura is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part Time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
*PRIMARY DUTIES:*
· Process invoices accurately and timely, matching them with purchase orders and receiving documentation.
· Assist in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
· Prepare and perform weekly or monthly payment runs, ensuring timely disbursement of funds while managing cash flow effectively.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, receiving, and accounting, to resolve issues and streamline processes.
· Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records, ensuring all documentation is filed appropriately for audit purposes.
· Monitor accounts payable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
· Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurately coding expenses.
· Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
*REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE*
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
· 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or related finance roles is preferred.
*ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS*
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.
g.
, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
· Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
· Experience with process improvements and implementing best practices is a plus

This role can be in the office or a hybrid of work-from-home and office hours.
