*Controller - On-site * We are assisting our confidential client, a Green Bay based growing manufacturing company, with the recruitment of a new growth-orientated and executive level Controller.
*The Role* We are in search of a Controller with a capital “C.
” A seasoned finance professional that goes beyond the crunching of numbers and the balancing of columns.
This role requires a keen sense of the financial landscape within our walls and within our industry, as it relates to the broader economy.
The position must be occupied by a proactive expert with the skills and confidence to represent all things finance as a member of our Executive Team.
*Key Duties and Responsibilities* * Evaluate and recommend procurement of funds and investment of surpluses.
* Delegate authority for the receipt, disbursement, banking, protection, and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments.
* Develop and maintain all company financial relationships.
* Monitor financial activities and details to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
* Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures.
* Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities.
* Conduct/coordinate audits of accounts and transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
* Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
* Prepare or direct all documents and reports required by regulatory agencies.
* Monitor and evaluate accounting and other financial staff, recommending personnel actions.
* Determine depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items and advise management on appropriate actions.
* Prepare and file annual tax returns or prepare financial information so that outside accountants can complete tax returns.
This key position requires logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to solve complex problems.
Critical analysis of complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions is essential.
We need an individual who can use sound, defendable judgement in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
