Food Safety Associate

Food Safety Associate will be responsible for in-line quality checks, creating holds, and act as a food safety resource for the plant.
FSA’s will handle all metal detector rejected product and properly record/report all product deviations.
FSA will report to the Quality Manager.
Duties Include: • Full understanding of food safety and why it is important to maintain • Full understanding of all Quality and Food Safety checks o Quality checks done by production: Finished product, toppings, packaging, seals, and cheese check o Food safety checks: Metal detection, allergen check, oven checks • Full understanding of product deviations/failures of Quality or Food Safety checks and how to handle CAPA and hold program o Understand Deviations/Failures of Quality or Food Safety checks and how to handle CAPA & HOLD program o Able to trigger HOLD when needed outside of deviation/failure o Understand Foreign Material process and be able to aide in investigation and documentation in Redzone o Assist Guide and production as needed o Assist in HOLD inspections and Dispositions • Serve as back up to the Guide position when necessary o FSA’s and guides should be interchangeable o Day 1 & 2 with new hires o Checking in Day Labor o Paperwork related to temps o Understand computer/tablet and communication with temp agencies and supervisors o Understand Nova Time and verify all punches o Help production as needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $19.
