POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for managing all executional aspects of manufacturing rework for Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) ship construction contracts.
This may include related scope accomplished at our other facilities: Fincantieri Bay Ship (FBS) and Fincantieri Ace Marine (FAM).
The primary assignment will be at FMM, working with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Vendor Claims, Production Planning & Control, Scheduling, Contracts, and Purchasing to investigate and manage completing repairs associated with rework.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

) Oversight and management of Rework program and requests at Fincantieri Marinette Marine and may include Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding and Fincantieri Ace Marine (ACE): Ensure rework requests have all information required.
Investigate validity of rework claims.
Ensure full scope is identified to include other trades.
Review/establish manufacturing estimates.
Create and issue rework work orders.
Ensure that HPRs are initiated if additional materials are required for the rework.
Track all open rework through to completion.
Issue KPIs to report weekly status.
Ensure all testing or re-testing is documented.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.

Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in operations management, industrial engineering, or similar area, and at least ten years of substantial and in-depth experience and increasing management responsibility in all related areas identified in this job description.
At least one year of supervisory experience is required or at least three years of progressive responsibility with a Planning department.
A working knowledge of the manufacturing process with MRP/PRP functions is required, preferably in a shipbuilding environment.
Minimum (3) years of Shipbuilding Manufacturing Experience dealing with the execution of rework.
Experience working with cross-functional teams is required.
SKILLS: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to communicate well to all levels of the organization.
Must have presentation skills.
Must be proficient in ERP systems.
Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills.
Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
